Jersey Junction is one of East Grand Rapids' most beloved institutions — an ice cream parlor with deep community roots. Established in 1963 by Doris "Chris" VanAllsburg, mother of The Polar Express author and illustrator Chris VanAllsburg, the parlor serves Hudsonville Ice Cream and features a beloved model train that runs along the ceiling. Open seasonally March through October.
